Palm Sunday: Contrasting Jonah

Pastor Matt continues our Jonah series on this Palm Sunday with a powerful look at the contrast between Jonah’s heart and Jesus’ heart. Through Jonah 4, we see a prophet who runs from mercy, clings to bitterness, and “was angry… angry enough to die” as God shows compassion to Nineveh . Pastor Matt then turns our eyes to Jesus entering Jerusalem—riding toward the cross, fully aware of the wrath He would bear for our sin, yet still moving forward in love. Even knowing “what was in each person,” Jesus chose to save us anyway .

This message invites us to examine our own hearts, marvel at God’s relentless mercy, and celebrate the Savior who carries our life even as He rides toward His death.
